Overview

This 2-day Trauma Informed Approaches training will enable learners across diverse sectors and in community roles to understand how adverse life events can lead to trauma responses, affecting both physical and emotional wellbeing. This course explores ways to promote post-traumatic growth through the application of peer-based approaches.

Our Trauma Informed Approaches Training

Using various interactive approaches, our focus is to build trusting relationships with learners to support their confidence and capabilities. We facilitate discussions, small group activities and introduce skills practice to maximise inclusivity and participation.

By focusing on the key principles of psychological safety, collaboration, empowerment, and inclusion, learners will explore ways to implement trauma-informed strategies within their individual settings. The course will emphasise the importance of building relationships and fostering human connection, drawing on the concepts of peer-based approaches.
