Our quality assured Peer Support Worker (PSW) Training through the AIM Quality Mark scheme is a comprehensive course which equips those working in peer-based roles with all the fundamentals and core skills to work across various settings and sectors.
We aim to meet people where they are in terms of their skills, knowledge and experiences. Through interactive methods and humanist principles, we foster a supportive environment for reflection and skill development, drawing on the HEE Competency Framework. Our delivery team facilitates discussions, and small group activities and introduce skills practice to maximise inclusivity and participation.
Peer Support is increasingly recognised as an invaluable role within workforces across health and justice, inc. third sector, community, social enterprise and statutory sectors, including the NHS, health, justice, housing, and private providers of specialist services.
Over the course of 8 days, delivered by our experienced and diverse Associate network and alongside self-directed learning through our online resources, learners will increase their confidence, capabilities and further understand the unique role of peer supporters, embody key values, utilise empathic listening, prioritise self-care, and navigate challenges.
This 8 day course can be delivered in a variety of ways to support organisational ambitions for their workforce, please speak to us about the different options.
The initial 4 days will encourage reflection on the core skills, including the use of language, supporting well-being, boundaries, disclosure and problem solving. We then take a break over a period of 6-8 weeks to put those core skills into practice, before coming back together to undertake topic specific inquiry-based learning and consolidation in the final 4 days.
We emphasise reflective practice and discussion throughout the course, as well as delivering our sessions in a dynamic way to support learning.
Our training has been awarded an AIM Quality Mark approved centre status. This is an excellence kitemark awarded to organisations who demonstrate provision of high-quality training. We have been assessed by an accrediting organisation and found to successfully offer quality assured training programmes.
Learners will receive a certificate following the last day of your training. It will reflect your training experience and your commitment to the course.
Anyone who is new, aspiring or currently within a peer-based role who are looking to develop or refine their skills and knowledge.

As a volunteer with limited experience, I got a lot out of the Peer Support Worker course and was delighted that my time was spent with lovely people who really made me think. The training was both positive and informative.
With-you are doing good work in helping people to build resilience within their own communities and I hope as many Peer Support Workers as possible get to engage with this inspiring content.
- Reuban Barwell, Volunteer Group Facilitator, Lancashire LGBT (Nov 2025)
We knew we wanted to have some Peer Support Workers in our team but didn’t know exactly how this would work. Karen and Marissa were great at helping us to work out what we wanted and then in training the new Peer Support Workers. They also provided invaluable support once the project got going.
- Justin Shute, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust
(With-you) successfully manages to combine a business-like focus with a really friendly and easy-going conversation about the important issues when working and implementing peer support working in the mental health workforce and the key training needs for mental health teams and people with lived experience.
